I can't find a chat

I was chatting with a Bagel, and the chatroom went missing. Where did my chat go?

Sometimes your chat disappears, and it may seem like it's a bug on the Coffee Meets Bagel app. However, the primary reasons for the chat room disappearing are the following:

1. Bagel Unmatched or Left the Chat:

It's unfortunate, but sometimes Bagels decide to leave the chat for various reasons. Life can get busy, dating preferences might change, or they may have found a more meaningful connection elsewhere. Regrettably, once a Bagel leaves the chat, we're unable to reopen it since it's their decision.

2. Deletion of Bagel's Account:

Occasionally, Bagels might choose to pause their dating journey and delete their Coffee Meets Bagel account. This action could lead to the disappearance of the chat. I understand how disappointing this can be, and I'm sorry that we can't retrieve the chat once this happens.

3. Banned Bagel:

Safety is paramount to us, and we take any potential violation of our Community Guidelines seriously. If a Bagel's account is reported for a violation, we temporarily suspend their account while investigating. After the investigation, their account could be reinstated or remain banned, depending on the outcome. If a Bagel you were chatting with gets banned, we send you an email notification with the subject line "Quick note about one of your matches."

It is disappointing to experience this for sure. However, we hope you don't give up online dating based on the few occasions and continue to put yourself out there as there are a lot of people who are looking for meaningful connections like you are!
