How do I delete my account?

Deleting your account will remove everything in your profile permanently – including beans, photos, personal information, and your entire chat history. Past and current bagels won’t be able to see your profile or chat with you. This can’t be undone, so please be sure this is what you want before doing so. If you decide to make a new account later on, you’ll have to start over.

iOS users

1. Open the app. If you have already deleted the app from your phone, you can easily re-download it from the App Store.
2. Tap on your profile icon.
3. Tap on Settings.
4. Scroll to the bottom, and tap Delete account.
5. Next, it will ask you if you’re sure you want to delete your account. Tap Delete my account.
6. Next, you’ll be asked to select a reason for deleting your account.
7. Once you’ve selected your reason from the list, tap Done in the top right corner.

If you created your CMB account with your Facebook account, you can revert your Facebook permissions:

1. Go to Facebook.
2. Tap on Menu.
3. Tap on Settings & Privacy.
4. Tap on Settings.
5. Tap on Apps and Websites. If you’re using the Facebook app, you’ll find this under Permissions.
6. Find Coffee Meets Bagel and tap Remove. (Remember to also log out and delete your CMB app from your phone.)

It may take several minutes for the server to update, so you might still see that your information is active when you open the app. Continuing to re-open the app to check if your account has been deleted may inadvertently create a new account.

(Note: If you have an active CMB Premium Subscription, deleting your account will not cancel the subscription. On iOS, you'll need to unsubscribe and cancel your Premium Subscription directly through Apple.)

Android users

Permanently deleting your account on an Android device:

1. Open the CMB app. If you have already deleted the app from your phone, you can easily re-download it from the Google Play Store.

4. Tap on Settings.
5. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
